i haven’t actually read the comics but that slutty little daisy-dukes-and-tank-outfit joe wears in one of them haunts my dreams so i decided to draw it - and then i realized that i had essentially made a paper doll joe so i went kind of ham with dress up possibilities. every once in a while i have a “men make me feel like im a taxidermy butterfly and every question they ask me is another pin to my wings” moment that makes me question my identity so hard and i get caught up in the loop of ‘is it trauma or is it sexuality or is it cause and effect’ and that kinda sucks cause even having no solid identity can be an identity! i am unknown in my ambiguity but i am still seen! its frustrating not being able to latch to any solid concept of identity anymore, i feel like when i was younger id throw myself at any label that would stick but now im too straight for some and too gay for others and too trans for some and too cis for others and STILL unsatisfied with pronouns. it feels like a threat when a man is attracted to me but i feel like im lying to women when they call me cute. im sure its all a product of dissociation and psychosis because what in my life isnt but its still frustrating!! siri send post
